The hot summer has quietly arrived, and the numerical control machines are experiencing frequent malfunctions due to the soaring temperatures. Therefore, the environment in which the equipment is placed is something we should pay close attention to. To extend the service life of the equipment as much as possible, it is recommended that the equipment be placed in a location that avoids direct sunlight and has relatively stable temperatures.

Summer heat arrives quietly. CNC machines are prone to frequent malfunctions amid rising temperatures, so the operating environment deserves close attention. To extend service life, place equipment away from direct sunlight in areas with steady temperature.

The spindle is a core component of machining centers. Common faults and solutions are listed below:

Spindle Overheating

Heat generates from friction and energy conversion during operation. Poor heat dissipation or prolonged running causes overheating. Clean and inspect the cooling system, and halt operation for cooling when necessary.

Spindle Vibration

Vibration reduces machining accuracy and accelerates tool wear. Check and adjust dynamic balance, fasten cutters and guarantee assembly precision.

Abnormal Spindle Noise

Noise stems from worn bearings, loose threads or damaged gears. Replace defective bearings, tighten connections and repair faulty gears.

Unstable Spindle Operation

Instability at high speed undermines cutting quality. Check axial and radial clearances and adjust bearing preload to secure stable operation.

Spindle Fault Alarm

Flashing warning lights indicate faulty sensors, motor defects or control system errors. Inspect electrical wiring, power supply and signal circuits, then calibrate or replace damaged parts.

Fault diagnosis shall be conducted case by case. Complex failures require professional maintenance. Regular inspection and maintenance help prevent spindle faults and ensure stable machine operation.
